I just take pictures*

Animals tend to express their emotions openly and honestly. My job is to capture them at their best and I do it well.

Don't worry if your buddy can't sit still. Even the most squirmy dogs are good dogs. In all that energy I am able to see their personalities and then show how special they are in stunning images.

Horses in motion are breathtaking and those images transcend into art. When a horse is willing to stand quietly for a portrait we find an image of majesty.

This isn’t just a photo session it’s about you and your animal partner. Leave the stress at home. We will have a great time taking pictures of their authentic selves when we go on a walk and have fun.

How it works

01.

Let me know that you are interested

Once you’ve decided that this might be a good idea send me a message and I get back to you as soon as possible.

02.

Meet up

So everyone feels comfortable, we’ll have a quick call to discuss things and plan everything out.

03.

Picture time

The big day! We’ll meet, talk, connect, and get to know each other. I will let your animal become comfortable with me and my equipment. Once that happens, we can jump right into it.

04.

Delivering photos

In a week or two expect to receive a link to your digital gallery of lightly edited pictures. We can then talk about any final edits and how you want your physical images produced.

FAQ

We have never done this, what should I know?

During our get-acquainted call, we will have decided on a time and location. Even at your home barn, arrive a bit early to allow your animal to become comfortable with all the new smells and activity. Sometimes the camera is a bit scary. It may be a good idea to bring water and treats to keep everyone's interest high.

What should I wear?

For humans, I suggest a hat, bug spray and sunscreen - after all we will be outside. As for a dog, what they wear is up to you. Some like to wear costumes while others don't. I can edit out most collars and leashes, but not harnesses.

Horses should groomed and have tack that fits well. Lead lines and minor green spots can be edited out.

How many pictures will I receive?

During a typical 60 minute session, you can expect to see about 10-15 images to choose from. It might be more and it might be less depending on how the animal is feeling about the situation and if we need to cover a lot of ground for a variety of shots.

Are you available outside of Elizabeth?

Of course! I will travel to your home, a favorite park, your barn, or the show grounds in SW Wisconsin, NE Iowa, and NW Illinois. There will be a charge for travel over 50 miles from 61028 that we will discuss prior to booking.

Do you do portraits of people?

Only when they come with their pets.

What do we do if the weather is bad?

If the photo session is at a horse show we will continue on. Otherwise, the session can be re-scheduled at a mutually agreeable time.
